The white marks you might sometime see are known as fat bloom — natural fat crystals that sometimes rise to the surface as the balm cools. This can happen with ingredients like tallow and shea butter. It’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect the texture, performance, or shelf life of the balm.
No, we’ve included arrowroot powder in the formulation to ensure a smooth, non-greasy finish that absorbs quickly.
Yes, all our balms are formulated with gentle, nourishing ingredients that are safe for most skin types. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend a patch test before full use.
Yes, since our balm is made with all-natural ingredients and no synthetic stabilizers, it may slightly change consistency with temperature. In warm weather, the balm can soften or become more pliable, while in colder temperatures it may firm up.
Because our formula includes unrefined shea butter, you may also notice occasional graininess or tiny crystals if the balm experiences rapid temperature changes — this is a natural characteristic of shea and doesn’t affect the quality or performance of the product.
All of these changes are completely normal. If the balm softens, simply let it cool and it will return to its usual texture. If it’s a bit firm or grainy, warm it between your hands before applying, and it will melt smoothly into the skin.
